Prayer of Invocation
Good Evening Prayer Warriors,
Surprise! I will be traveling tomorrow, so the morning post will actually be the evening post, which is quite timely since it is early morning and the team is preparing to facilitate a Christian leadership conference for pastors and lay brothers and sisters who live in the surrounding Provinces.
Prayer of Invocation
Father, as the tables and chairs are being set out, we give thanks to You for our brothers and sisters in Christ, remembering their work of faith, their labor of love and steadfastness of hope in you, Father. For we know, that they are loved by You, that You have chosen them and the gospel came to them not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction (1 Thessalonians 1:3-5). We pray that you will strengthen them and lead them to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which they have been called, with humility and gentleness, with patience, show tolerance for one another in love and being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4: 1-3).
Father, we also pray for our pastors who will be leading the conference. We pray that they will proclaim the kingdom of God and teach about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance (Acts 28:31). Just as in the days of the apostles, let your Spirit fall fresh, and please let the word, your word grow and be multiplied (Acts 12: 24).
Father, we ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples (Psalms 77: 12-14). We excitedly wait for you. In your precious and holy name we pray, Amen.
