Ask, Seek, Knock!

“When my people in their need look for water, when their throats are dry with thirst, then I, the LORD, will answer their prayer; I, the God of Israel, will never abandon them. I will make rivers flow among barren hills and springs of water run in the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water and the dry land into flowing springs. I will make cedars grow in the desert, and acacias and myrtles and olive trees. Forests will grow in barren land, forests of pine and juniper and cypress. People will see this and know that I, the LORD, have done it” (Isaiah 41:18-20).

Are you parched and thirsty? Do you long for larger measures of grace and insight?

Do you want a refreshing view of God’s love, more faith, more repentance, more love, more uprightness, more purity of heart, more humility, more true prayer, more gratitude and praise, more brokenness, more joy, more devotedness?

Those that seek this water will find it. Jesus (Isa) told us in Matthew 7:7-8 to “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

Ask, Seek, Knock!

We ask for what we wish; we seek for what we miss; we knock for that from which we feel ourselves shut out.

Ask, as a beggar asks alms. Those that would be rich in grace, must take up begging. “Asking represents your wants and burdens to God.

Seek, as if you are searching for a thing of value that was lost or as a jeweler seeks fine pearls.

Knock, a if you have been locked out of the house, its the dead of night, and everyone is sleeping soundly.

Oh, I pray that we would never be satisfied with the status quo, but labor more and more for the fair and beautiful “fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ  (Isa al Masih), unto the glory and praise of God.”

Holy God, creator of the universe, wake us to Your call to prayer.  Give us the desire to ask, seek and knock.  We know You are listening and will do more than we ask, think or imagine.  Indeed You will do immeasurably more. Bless us with your favor and grace. In the precious name of my Lord Christ Jesus (Isa al Masih)…
